Jake Paul earned an astonishing $30 million despite embarrassingly suffering his first professional loss

Throughout his short career as a professional boxer, Jake Paul has made an astonishing amount of money.

On Saturday June 28, Jake Paul returns to the boxing ring for the first time since his controversial win over boxing legend Mike Tyson last November.

‘The Problem Child’ is set to take on former WBC Middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, who he has claimed will be his toughest opponent to date.

Paul vs Chavez Jr is set to clash with the biggest UFC event of the year as UFC 317 is set to take place in Las Vegas on Saturday, with a huge main event title fight between Ilia Topuria and Charles Oliveira. Despite that, UFC boss Dana White isn’t concerned with their clash, claiming he didn’t even know Paul was fighting.

Jake Paul almost came from behind against Tommy Fury

Throughout his short career in the sport, Paul has continued to cause controversy amongst some of combat sports’ biggest stars and he even had a feud with UFC star Paddy Pimblett, who he offered $1m to spar him after Pimblett accused him of ‘fixing’ fights.

And although the 28-year-old admitted that early on in his career he was losing money, he has earned an astonishing amount of money since and for his record-breaking fight against Tyson, he earned upwards of $39m.

However, it was his fight against Tommy Fury in 2023 when ‘The Problem Child’ earned his first huge purse as the two were involved in what was a big rivalry.

At that point, Fury was regarded as Paul’s toughest opponent by far considering he is around the same age as Paul and is an active boxer.

The two were scheduled to clash on several occasions but every time the fight fell through, which made it that much bigger when it finally took place.

Early on in the fight it became clear that Fury was the more experienced boxer and he was landing jabs on Paul’s chin at will. The first four rounds clearly went the way of ‘TNT’ Fury, leaving the internet sensation turned boxer a lot to do in the second half of the fight.

With Fury said to have had a wide lead heading into the final round, Paul almost turned the fight on its head when he scored a knockdown early in the round. Despite that, Fury managed to stay in the fight and he went on to pick up the unanimous decision win.

Jake Paul claimed he made astonishing $30 million for Tommy Fury fight

Despite suffering his first loss as a professional boxer, not long after the fight Paul claimed that he earned an astonishing $30 million from the fight.

In an attempt to back up his claim, the 28-year-old claimed that his fight against Fury sold over 500,000 PPV buys, labelling it as a ‘silver lining’.

Having earned an astonishing amount of money throughout his short career, Paul has revealed that the only goal he has left is to become a world champion, starting with a win over Chavez Jr this coming Saturday.
