Ahead of the biggest UFC event of the year, world famous rapper Drake has teased a historic collaboration with the promotion.
This coming Saturday, the UFC returns to Las Vegas for another International Fight Week with UFC 317, headlined by a vacant lightweight title fight between Ilia Topuria and Charles Oliveira.
International Fight Week is always regarded as the biggest UFC event of the year, not only because of the fight week festivities but because of the usually stacked fight card that the week culminates with.
And ahead of another huge International Fight Week, world famous Canadian rapper Drake has teased a historic collaboration with the UFC with a promotional video including Georges St-Pierre.
Drake teases huge collaboration with the UFC ahead of UFC 317
Drake is widely regarded as one of the most famous artists on the planet and he is a big fan of the UFC.
Ahead of big fights, the Canadian rapper usually notifies fans of a huge bet he has placed and it has become a running joke in the MMA world that when he bets on a fighter he gives them the ‘Drake curse’.
Drake won almost $500,000 after betting on Alexander Volkanovski to beat Diego Lopes in the UFC 314 main event, as Volkanovski broke the infamous curse.
He also bet nearly $2.5m on Israel Adesanya to beat Alex Pereira at UFC 287, and after winning his bets, he awkwardly met up with Pereira.
Hilariously, Drake’s betting antics have put him on the radar of Joe Rogan who has previously claimed he wanted to call up the rapper to help him break the curse.
As well as making his name as a rapper, Drake also owns his own clothing brand, OVO, and ahead of UFC 317, he has teased a huge collaboration with the UFC, featuring GSP.
In a post on Instagram the OVO account captioned: “OVO x UFC. Featuring Georges St-Pierre. UFC champion, Canadian legend. Available in-store and online. 6.27.25 10AM ET.”
In the past, the UFC has collaborated with streetwear brand Anti-Social Social Club in what was a popular collaboration amongst fans.
Drake is yet to place a bet on the UFC 317 main event
With fans anticipating a huge collaboration, they will likely also be nervous to see who Drake has placed his wager on for the main event.
‘Do Bronx’ Oliveira is currently a sizeable underdog heading into the fight against the former featherweight champion, with ‘El Matador’ sitting at a huge -400.
