Kevin Lee admits ‘I can’t absorb shots anymore’ as he breaks silence after KO loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov’s teammate

Kevin Lee has given a refreshingly honest reaction to his latest MMA loss.

The former UFC contender’s debut for PFL ended in a disastrous first-round defeat on Friday.

Fans begged Kevin Lee to retire after watching Khabib Nurmagomedov’s teammate faceplant KO him.

Gadzhi Rabadanov needed just 157 seconds to knock out the once-highly regarded lightweight, who has since broken his silence by issuing a brief but brutal statement on social media.

Kevin Lee admits he can’t take shots anymore

A viral video that showed Kevin Lee getting knocked out in training took the internet by storm earlier this year.

It left some fans worried about his ability to take big shots from the very best fighters in the world.

Those concerns were proven right as Rabadanov hurt him early and often when they clashed in Wichita, Kansas.

‘The Motown Phenom’ has now addressed his apparent inability to take a shot like he used to.

“I’m not a coward,” Lee tweeted on Saturday.

“At least I can say that I tried. I shot for the stars. My legs just aren’t what they used to be.

“I can’t absorb shots anymore and honestly I don’t know if it will come back.”

Did Kevin Lee break his Jaw at PFL 6?

As if getting dropped three times and losing inside three minutes wasn’t bad enough, it appears that Lee suffered a serious injury at PFL 6.

Lee’s last post on X – formerly known as Twitter – is a picture of him with his jaw wired shut.

Jaw wiring is used to immobilize the jaw and promote proper healing of fractures or to align the jaw after corrective surgery.

Lee didn’t specify exactly what was wrong with his jaw, but it seems to be a pretty significant injury.

It’s currently unclear if the 32-year-old will return to MMA once he’s all healed up.

Lee’s comments about being unable to take shots like he used to suggest his career is basically over.
