Jake Paul offered $1m to spar one of the UFC’s biggest stars after being accused of ‘fixing’ fights

Since his emergence in the world of combat sports, Jake Paul has continuously caused controversy amongst some of the biggest stars.

On June 28, Jake Paul returns to the boxing ring for the first time since his controversial win over Mike Tyson last November when he takes on Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

Following his win over Tyson, Paul revealed he spent his whopping $39m fight purse on creating a ranch where he is able to go hunting, go jet skiing, along with several other things.

Despite ‘The Problem Child’ having left several fighters face first on the canvas throughout his short career in the sport, Chavez Jr has already listed some potential names he is hoping to fight after fighting Paul.

Paddy Pimblett accused Jake Paul of fixing fight against UFC legend

After leaving the likes of Tyron Woodley laid out flat unconscious, Paul continued to receive criticism from not only fans but from some of the biggest stars in combat sports.

One fighter who has been extremely vocal regarding his hatred for ‘The Problem Child’ is current UFC star Paddy Pimblett.

After his win over Woodley, Paul was booked to fight Anderson Silva in what was supposed to be his toughest test to date, at that point.

Despite that, the boxer dispatched the former UFC middleweight champion with relative ease, winning the fight via a unanimous decision, dropping the Brazilian during the fight.

However, after seeing one of the greatest MMA fighters of all time crumble under the Paul pressure, Pimblett claimed that ‘The Problem Child’ had fixed the fight.

“Jake Paul is actually not that bad now, even though I think his fights are fixed,” Pimblett told Pub Talk.

“I don’t think the Tyron Woodley knockout was fixed because when you get knocked out like that, you land face first, if you’re not unconscious you’re going to (put your arms out).

“But I seen an angle of a punch he hit Anderson Silva with the other day when he sat down, and he didn’t even hit him,” Pimblett continued.

Jake Paul offered Pimblett $1m to spar him after fixing accusations

Following fixing accusations from ‘The Baddy’, Paul issued a threatening response to the Scouser, offering him a whopping $1m to spar him in his gym.

“It’s stupid and pathetic (the accusations), but I have a proposition for you. Since you wouldn’t rig a fight, let’s spar. Fly to Puerto Rico, I’ll get you a private jet and we can do five, three-minute rounds of boxing,” Paul said in a video on his social media account.

“If you win, I’ll give you a million dollars, which is what you deserve to get paid. You know it, but the UFC is not paying you that. But if I win then you have to join the (fighters union) United Fighters Association and help me sign up all the fighters in the UK,” he continued.

Of course, their sparring session never happened despite Pimblett having accepted the offer, and it wasn’t the last time Paul was accused of fixing his fights.

Following his win over Tyson in November, Jake Paul’s team released a statement addressing ‘fictitious claims’.
