However, while Chael Sonnen says Jones has not turned down Aspinall, the MMA community is growing concerned that the fight won’t happen.

Rico Verhoeven says Jon Jones has no chance against Tom Aspinall
Rico Verhoeven believes Jon Jones would get completely dismantled by Tom Aspinall.
Having trained extensively with the Englishman, the Glory heavyweight world champion knows exactly what the power puncher is capable of.
In an interview with MMA Fighting, Verhoeven said: “He’s going to wipe the floor with Jon Jones. Jon Jones doesn’t have a chance vs Tom Aspinall, mark my words.
“Tom Aspinall is a monster on the feet and on the ground. I truly believe Jon Jones has never faced anyone who’s that good on the feet
“On the ground, he’s faced some guys that are pretty good, but on his feet, Tom would do good in the kickboxing ring, he’d be a good competitor to fight me.”

While Verhoeven is confident he knows what would happen if Jones and Aspinall set foot inside the octagon together, he may never be proven right or wrong.
At the moment, the contest doesn’t look particularly close to coming to fruition.
Some fans have speculated that the American might be afraid of his rival.
However, one UFC star says Jones isn’t frightened of Aspinall.
