Julio Cesar Chavez Jr bounced back from a devastating loss to Canelo Alvarez with a crushing first-round victory in Mexico.
On June 28, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr looks to hand Jake Paul his second loss in boxing when the two clash in the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
Over his 62 fight career, the Mexican has scored some extremely impressive wins and even held the WBC middleweight title after beating Sebastian Zbik in 2011.
Prior to that, Chavez Jr wiped out the Irish boogeyman with a devastating 14-punch combination, scoring one of the best wins of his career.
However, the biggest fight of Chavez Jr’s career came against one of the greatest boxers of all time in Canelo Alvarez.

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr rebounded from humiliating loss with crushing KO
After a few impressive wins, Canelo’s and Chavez Jr’s teams decided that a clash between the two on Cinco de Mayo weekend would be a big PPV fight, and following successful negotiations, the fight was subsequently made.
Canelo had already crushed the likes of Amir Khan and Miguel Cotto which made it an extremely tough uphill battle for Chavez Jr.
Canelo Alvarez went on to utterly humiliate Chavez Jr with a flawless performance and all three judges scored the fight 120-108.
This was the first boxing match to generate over one million PPV buys that didn’t include Floyd Mayweather, Manny Pacquiao or Oscar De La Hoya since 2002.
Two years and three months after his loss to Canelo, ‘JC JR’ finally returned to the ring after years of claiming he was making his comeback against top competition at super middleweight.
Chavez Jr subsequently made his comeback against unrecognized Colombian fighter, Evert Bravo. It took the former WBC middleweight champion less than three minutes to sink the Colombian after he landed a shotgun-like body shot which resulted in a first-round stoppage.
Julio Cesar Chavez Jr was scheduled to fight on Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder undercard
Before booking his return against the unrecognized Colombian, Chavez Jr was booked to make his return on the huge PPV between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder.
He was booked to take on Alfredo Angulo but just a few weeks out, the fight was canceled after Chavez Jr’s father declared that his son was not ready to return after he did not comply with the necessary medical exams.
