The UFC boss is expecting fireworks when bantamweights clash on the UFC Atlanta prelims.
This Saturday, the premier promotion returns for UFC Atlanta as former UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman looks to rebound from three losses in a row when he takes on Joaquin Buckley in the main event.
‘New Mansa’ is riding a six-fight win streak and with a win over ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’, he would put himself into title contention, having already shut down Islam Makhachev as a ‘big threat’ at 170lbs.
Also on the card are former champions Rose Namajunas and Cody Garbrandt, who are both looking to rebound from losses last time out.

Dana White highlights under the radar fights at UFC Atlanta
As well as a stacked main card, the UFC Atlanta prelims are also filled with several fights that are almost guaranteed to get the fans off of their seats.
Ahead of the event, UFC boss Dana White has highlighted one fight that he doesn’t want going under the radar, between returning bantamweight Kris Moutinho and Malcolm Wellmaker.
“A couple of fights you might not know about, Malcolm Wellmaker vs Kris Moutinho. Wellmaker earned a UFC contract with a quick knockout on the Contender Series then debuted with another devastating quick knockout,” White said in a video on social media.
“Now he draws Moutinho, who was in the UFC a while back, rattled off five straight wins, all finishes outside the UFC so he earned himself another shot. This should be all offense and a lot of fireworks standing,” White continued.
Moutinho is best known for his fight against Sean O’Malley back in 2021, and despite being utterly dominated, he showcased his impenetrable heart.
As well as highlighting the bantamweight bout, White went on to alert fans to the middleweight clash between Cody Brundage and Mansur Abdul-Malik on the main card.
“Young undefeated prospect Mansur Abdul-Malik faces a big test in the always tough Cody Brundage. Mansur enters the matchup at 8-0 with seven knockouts and one submission… This matchup will be explosive, do not miss it,” he continued.
Francis Ngannou makes shock UFC Atlanta appearance
At the ceremonial weigh-ins this past Friday, former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou made a shock appearance on stage with Usman.
‘The Predator’ has recently re-sparked his feud with current UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones, claiming that he would be interested in fighting Jones in a potential UFC return.
