Sean O’Malley switches iconic walk-out song for UFC 316 with President Donald Trump cageside

Donald Trump was a fan of Sean O’Malley’s walk-out song at UFC 316.

The former UFC Bantamweight Champion fell short of reclaiming his title in his rematch against Merab Dvalishvili at UFC 316. Sean O’Malley is now 0-2 against Dvalishvili after losing to him via submission in round 3.

O’Malley made many lifestyle changes after his title loss to Dvalishvili at UFC 306 last September, some of which were letting go of his vices.

For his return, the colorful ‘Suga’ abandoned the usual hair dye and his signature walk-out song at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

Instead of walking out to his usual ‘Superstar’ by Lupe Fiasco at UFC 316, O’Malley went with ‘God Bless the USA’ by Lee Greenwood.

O’Malley was accompanied by his father for the first time in his career, who cornered him in his rematch against Dvalishvili.

President Donald Trump was in attendance cageside at UFC 316 while the patriotic O’Malley walked out to the Octagon.

O’Malley shook hands with President Trump outside of the cage after his submission loss to Dvalishvili, who also shared a moment with the president.

O’Malley didn’t shy away from the microphone following his second loss to Dvalishvili at UFC 316.

‘Suga’ took the gloves off not for a retirement announcement but instead a quick interview with UFC commentator Joe Rogan.

“I didn’t feel like it was gonna go like that,” O’Malley said in the Octagon.

“I just wanna stick around and thank everybody that came out and supported us.

“If it wasn’t for you guys, this s— wouldn’t be possible.

“I feel super, super grateful right now that I get to do this. I have a two-week [old] at home, a four-year-old at home, and a perfect wife. So, I’m excited to go home and spend some time with them, but Merab’s a m***********.”

“100%,” O’Malley said of Rogan saying he’ll come back better than ever.
