Conor McGregor didn’t pay much attention to the UFC’s latest pay-per-view show.
‘Notorious’ expressed his interest in Merab Dvalashvili vs Sean O’Malley 2 during fight week.
However, the Irishman focused on another title clash when he took to Instagram on Sunday.
Conor McGregor sent a message to the UFC about one of his SBG teammates instead of talking about UFC 316.

Conor McGregor tells the UFC to sign his teammate
Nikolay Grozdev became the WOW FC featherweight titleholder in Madrid, Spain, on Saturday.
‘Slick Nick’ scored a brutal fourth-round KO win over Ignacio Campos to stretch his record to 10-2 during ‘The Night of Champions’ hosted by an MMA promotion co-owned by Ilia Topuria.
“UFC ready,” McGregor wrote alongside a picture of Grozdev’s post-fight celebrations on his Instagram story.
He added: “Glorious performance here! Real substance to every move. Congrats Nic, best to date.”
The former dual-weight UFC champion also shared footage of his pal’s ferocious finish.
McGregor attached a telephone emoji as he once again urged his bosses to sign Grozdev.
Conor McGregor’s comeback…
Conor McGregor hasn’t fought since breaking his leg during a trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021.
The 36-year-old was supposed to return against Michael Chandler at UFC 303 last June. However, a Dublin press conference to promote their clash was canceled at the last minute, as McGregor broke his toe in training and withdrew from the contest.
A year later, Chandler is still hoping he will get the chance to welcome McGregor back to MMA.
‘Iron Mike’ recently called for a January 2026 showdown after ‘Mystic Mac’ expressed his interest in settling their long-running saga, even though Chandler lost to Paddy Pimblett at UFC 314 in April.
UFC CEO Dana White’s latest McGregor update suggested a comeback is not on the cards this year.
It’s currently unclear if MMA’s greatest legend will ever return to the famous UFC Octagon.
