Francis Ngannou has posted on social media amid links to a UFC fight with Jon Jones.
The PFL heavyweight champion has been dealing with intense personal issues in 2025.
Following the tragic death of his 15-month-old son, the former UFC superstar was involved in a fatal road traffic accident.
So, keeping fans updated by posting on his various social media channels hasn’t been at the forefront of Francis Ngannou‘s mind.

Francis Ngannou speaks after Jon Jones call out
On Friday, the Cameroonian knockout artist posted on Instagram for the first time in two weeks.
Ngannou shared several pictures of him working on his boxing skills with his 7.2 million followers.
“Life is a tough opponent, but you should keep on fighting no matter what,” he captioned the post.
Of course, the top comment inquired: “When you fighting [Jon] Jones, champ?”
On the same day, Jon Jones talked up Ngannou as a ‘real super-fight’ after refusing to face interim heavyweight titleholder Tom Aspinall in a UFC unification fight.
“I’m hearing Francis Ngannou is still interested… now we’re talking,” the UFC heavyweight champion tweeted.
“That’s a real super fight. A clash of champions, not just hype. He held the UFC belt, I’ve defended mine for over a decade. Two kings from different roads. Not just one legend facing a mouth that’s hot right now, but two real legacies colliding.
“That’s the kind of fight that actually adds something special to my story. At least from my point of view.”
What started Francis Ngannou’s UFC return rumors?
Ngannou and the UFC went through a bitter split when he refused to sign a new deal in 2023.
‘The Predator’ currently has an MMA deal with PFL, where he is expected to fight at least once this year.
However, Ngannou’s coach, Eric Nicksick, recently opened the door for a shock return to the UFC.
“Enough time has passed, I would love to see them mend these fences and get back to competing in the UFC,” Nicksick told Home of Fight.
“I think it’s more about business than it is about ego, at least it is from Francis’ side. Now where does his motivations come from? It’s not about money, it’s about competition. And the best competition is in the UFC.”
