The UFC bantamweight champion will defend his belt in a rematch against Sean O’Malley on Saturday night.
Victory at UFC 316 will see Merab Dvalishvili stretch his epic winning streak to 13 in a row.
In doing so, he’ll join an exclusive club of the greatest fighters of all time, who also achieved the feat.

Jon Jones, Khabib Nurmagomedov, Georges St-Pierre, Max Holloway, and Demetrious Johnson all achieved the feat.

Merab Dvalishvili learned of the slice of history he can make at UFC 316 during the pre-event media day.
“Wow, this is big,” he said when a reporter read out the list of UFC stars who had won 13 or more consecutive fights.
“Yeah, this is another motivation for me.
“This is great, but I’m just gonna focus on my next fight.
“God willing, I win this fight, there’s lots of record and history to be made.
“This is good. It’s a lot just to mention my name with these guys, I’m grateful.”
