Kevin Holland left Joe Rogan stunned after scoring one of the most unique KOs ever
‘The Trailblazer’ has been involved in some iconic moments in the UFC since his signing in 2018. In that time, Holland has astonishingly made 25 appearances under the UFC banner, scoring some big wins at both welterweight and middleweight.
One of Holland’s most memorable wins came against Brazilian veteran, Jacare Souza, when the two met back in 2020 at UFC 256.
Holland has garnered a reputation for speaking to his opponents during their fights, as well as talking to people cageside.
Early on in his fight against the submission specialist, Jacare had Holland on the ground and was controlling over him in full guard.
As Holland began speaking to him, Jacare seemingly began getting angrier. Despite being on the bottom, though, ‘The Trailblazer’ began landing some heavy shots, resulting in Souza defending himself.
And then, after somehow landing a huge shot from the bottom, Holland managed to get from underneath the Brazilian and while he was transitioning his position, landed another hellacious shot on Jacare, putting his lights out.
As Souza’s knees were bent, Holland jumped up to his feet and landed a few more terrifying shots, making certain that he was out cold.
“Oh my goodness,” Joe Rogan reacted on commentary as he went frantic.
“I need to see that again! I need to see that again, that’s crazy, the way he caught him on the get out, look at this, unbelievable, oh my god! That is crazy, Jacare was just pinned backwards and he pummelled him,” Rogan continued.
Kevin Holland equaled the UFC record with his win over Jacare
With his win over Souza at UFC 256, Holland equalled the record for the most amount of wins in a calendar year in the UFC.
2020 was the year in which Holland fought as often as possible, taking over the UFC Apex during the COVID-19 pandemic.
