Jon Jones has been offered the chance to spar with everybody’s favorite street fighter.
Maraji Johnson – better known by his alias Death Sentence – has gained internet fame via Streetbeefs, where he was winless until Demetrious Johnson got involved with his coaching.
Earlier this month, the backyard fighting sensation broke his losing streak after training with the UFC legend, who is widely regarded as one of the greatest fighters in MMA history.
Now the 1-4 street fighter wants to test himself against the UFC heavyweight champion.

Jon Jones called out by street fighter
Demetrious Johnson warned Death Sentence against calling out former UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland, but he simply laughed when the clueless brawler set his sights on Jon Jones during their recent interview.
“If he was in this room right now, I would swing on him,” Death Sentence said when the conversation turned to ‘Bones’.
“F— it. Come to Charlotte and we can spar. The reason I haven’t talked s— about Jon Jones recently is because I’m going to focus on my opposition. But if Jon Jones was in this room, I would swing on him.
“I could take him out. I don’t have a grudge against him anymore like I used to. I just wanted to beat his ass because I’m like, ‘Bro, I deserve what he’s got. I want it.’
“So, I don’t got no beef with Jon Jones no more. But again, if he was in this room and he wanted to run it, we can do that. It’s on him though.”
Will Jon Jones fight in 2025?
Jon Jones has been in talks to face a slightly tougher opponent, Tom Aspinall.
The interim heavyweight titleholder has been waiting for the chance to prove he is MMA’s best big man since knocking out Curtis Blaydes in 60 seconds at UFC 304 last July.
Dana White has ‘100 percent’ guaranteed Jones vs Aspinall will take place in 2025.
“He’s fighting. He will be fighting,” the UFC CEO told street journalist Adam Glyn last month.
“Yes. Absolutely,” White added when asked if Jones will return in 2025.
On Saturday, Jones dropped a contradictory two-word hint about his UFC comeback timeline.
After one Instagram user sarcastically asked Jones when fans can expect to see his ‘famous eye poke’ again, the UFC great responded with two words that seemingly justified the viral petition to strip him of heavyweight gold.
“Next year,” Jones wrote, confirming fan fears that he doesn’t plan to face Aspinall anytime soon.
Only time will tell if White and the other UFC bosses can convince Jones to return in 2025.
