‘C’mon man!’… UFC Vegas 107 star reacts to promotion declining to give him a bonus despite tallying card’s only KO

UFC light heavyweight Dustin Jacoby isn’t thrilled with not getting a post-fight bonus despite earning UFC Vegas 107’s lone knockout.

37-year-old Dustin Jacoby proved that 37 is the new 27 as he earned one of the most vicious knockouts of his career at UFC Vegas 107 at the Apex.

Jacoby and up-and-coming star Bruno Lopes featured on the UFC Vegas 107 main card in a pivotal light heavyweight matchup. Jacoby was looking to continue his momentum after finishing Vitor Petrino in his most-recent fight in December.

Just seconds into the fight, Jacoby fought like a man with a lot on the line as he blitzed through Lopes in brutal fashion.

Dustin Jacoby shares bittersweet reaction to UFC Vegas 107 performance

Jacoby wasted little time attacking Lopes, as he landed several heavy low kicks as the fight began. Lopes was on the back foot from the opening bell, as Jacoby charged forward and pressured him in the clinch.

After landing several big elbows while trapping Lopes against the fence, Jacoby unleashed a punching barrage that overwhelmed his opponent. Jacoby sealed the first-round knockout win with a horrific left hand to the jaw that knocked Lopes out cold.

Jacoby went on to be the only UFC Vegas 107 fighter to win by knockout, as the card featured mostly decisions, outside of finishes by Jordan Leavitt and Ramiz Brahimaj. But despite tallying one of the lone highlight-reel finishes of the night, the UFC didn’t give Jacoby a $50,000 post-fight bonus.

UFC Vegas 107 stars Brahimaj and Leavitt were the only fighters to earn Performance of the Night bonuses for their efforts. Alice Ardelean vs. Rayanne dos Santos took home Fight of the Night honors.

In a recent post to X, Jacoby reacted to the UFC not giving him a post-fight bonus after his wild knockout win.

“THE ONLY KNOCKOUT OF THE NIGHT AND NO BONUS?!” Jacoby posted.

“C’MOON MAAAAAN!”

The UFC matchmakers might make it up to Jacoby or give him a separate award for his efforts at UFC Vegas 107. Jacoby has earned three POTN bonuses during his UFC tenure, including in brutal knockout wins over Kennedy Nzechukwu and Da-Un Jung.

UFC Vegas 107 main event canceled on minutes-notice due to Maycee Barber’s medical scare

Not long after Jacoby’s knockout victory, UFC Vegas 107 took a bizarre turn as the card’s main event was canceled at the last second. Just minutes before flyweights Erin Blanchfield and Maycee Barber were scheduled to make the walk, the UFC broadcast team announced that Barber wasn’t medically cleared to compete.

It was later alleged that Barber suffered a seizure backstage which forced her off of the UFC Vegas 107 card, but nothing has been officially revealed as of this writing. Blanchfield refused to reschedule the Barber fight in scathing post-event remarks.

As of this writing, Barber and her team haven’t issued a statement on her UFC Vegas 107 pullout and her health status. Barber was set to return to the Octagon for the first time since UFC 299.
