Max Holloway has had great relationships with several opponents that he’s shared the Octagon with.
This is certainly the case heading into his next outing at UFC 318 where Holloway and Dustin Poirier will complete their trilogy in New Orleans.
Of all the former foes that ‘Blessed’ has connected with outside of the Octagon, one of them stands out.
The current BMF titleholder recently took a trip to South Korea as Holloway linked up with Chan Sung Jung, also known as ‘The Korean Zombie’.
Having faced each other in August of 2023, the two legends of the sport recently spent some time together where Holloway and ‘The Korean Zombie’ even did some sparring.

Max Holloway’s wife breaks punching machine record to stun both him and ‘The Korean Zombie’
In a recent video on his YouTube channel, Max Holloway gave fans yet another look at the time he spent with ‘The Korean Zombie’.
The latest chapter of his trip to South Korea was focused around them going on a “food tour” of the country’s capital city, Seoul.
Midway through the video, they took a break from Korean BBQ and noodles to blow off some steam in an arcade.
This unsurprisingly led them to “Dragon Punch”, a punching bag which records your power, with Holloway and ‘TKZ’ going blow-for-blow.
Contestant | Punch Score |
The Korean Zombie | 9361 |
Max Holloway | 9625 |
The Korean Zombie | 9532 |
Max Holloway | 9865 |
The Korean Zombie | 3736 |
Holloway’s final attempt broke the machine’s record, with him then claiming that the machine was broken after it registered a low score for the final attempt from his opponent.
However, to the surprise of everyone that was crowd around the machine, this theory was disproved by Alessa Holloway, Max’s wife, who bettered the former featherweight champion’s high score by hitting 9872.

Max Holloway has two one-punch knockout wins in his last three fights
Max Holloway’s list of accolades goes on and on with the former champion holding the record for the most significant strikes landed in UFC history.
For the majority of his career, ‘Blessed’ has been a volume striker who was very effective at putting opponents away after he overwhelmed them.

That being said, in two of his last three outings, he has got his hand raised after landing one huge final blow that closed the show in the blink of an eye.
‘The Korean Zombie’ and Justin Gaethje both found out that just because Holloway hits fast and often, it doesn’t mean that he can’t sit down on his power when he chooses to.
