Holly Holm’s next fight
While she is retired from the UFC, Holm is returning to the boxing ring after 12 years away.
Holm will fight Yolanda Vega on the undercard of the Jake Paul vs Julio Cesar Chavez Jr fight, hoping to put away the undefeated challenger in her first bout since 2013.
This bout will go up against UFC 317, which is taking place on the same night as Holm’s return to boxing.
Holly Holm vs. Ronda Rousey
One of the biggest upsets in UFC history was in 2015 when Holly Holm knocked out Ronda Rousey to end her dominant reign in the UFC Women’s Bantamweight division.
Rousey was the undefeated champion going into UFC 193 and was considered one of the greatest female fighters in UFC history.
She had dominated all her opponents so far, but struggled when coming up against a strong striker like the former boxer.
Holm knocked Rousey out in the 2nd round of their clash, with a kick to the neck ending the fight and winning the Fight of the Night bonus.
This was one of the biggest upsets in UFC history, as Rousey was the confident, undefeated champion who underestimated the former boxer who ended her legendary streak in the UFC.
Holly Holm vs. Kayla Harrison
Holm’s last UFC fight occurred at UFC 300, where she lost to Kayla Harrison by submission in the second round.
That bout in April 2024 was her 22nd and final fight in the UFC, returning to boxing a year later instead.
