Bare Knuckle FC superstar Mike Perry got some work in with former UFC titleholder Sean Strickland.
Mike Perry and Sean Strickland are cut from the same cloth. During their combat sports careers, they’ve showcased the tendency to never shy away from fights, in and out of the cage and ring.
Perry has become the face of bare-knuckle fighting since departing from the UFC in 2021. He remains unbeaten in his bare-knuckle boxing career in Bare Knuckle FC, defeating former champions Luke Rockhold and Eddie Alvarez during his promotional stint.
Strickland, like Perry, has garnered the love of fans around the world for his brash personality and confrontational fighting style. As both sides get ready for their combat sports comebacks, Strickland and Perry teamed up at Xtreme Couture in Las Vegas.

Mike Perry credits Sean Strickland for ‘tagging on him’ in recent sparring session
In a recent post to X, Perry shared footage of him and Strickland sparring.
“Finally got some work with the stiffmister haha not for the faint of heart, man he was tagging on me,” Perry said of Strickland.
“Thanks [Sean Strickland] for the lesson.”
Strickland spars regularly in between fights, against his teammates and online trolls who he invites into the gym during his camps. Strickland came under fire earlier this year for a brutal sparring match with streamer Sneako, after many criticized the former middleweight champion for sparring at a fight-like pace against the inexperienced content creator.
Strickland hasn’t fought since a middleweight title rematch defeat to Dricus du Plessis at UFC 312. He’s been linked to a potential rematch with Israel Adesanya for his return, although as of this writing, nothing’s been formally announced or booked.
Perry hasn’t fought in the BKFC ring since knocking out Thiago Alves in April 2024. He lost in a short-notice boxing match against Jake Paul last summer following Mike Tyson‘s withdrawal due to a medical issue.
Sean Strickland made an X-rated callout of former welterweight champ
As Strickland plots his return to the Octagon, he recently called out a UFC 315 star who fell short in the card’s main event. Belal Muhammad lost to Jack Della Maddalena to bring his UFC welterweight title reign to a close, and Strickland feasted at the opportunity to call him out.
As of this writing, Muhammad hasn’t responded to Strickland’s callout, and has been linked to a potential showdown with the undefeated Shavkat Rakhmonov in October. Muhammad and Rakhmonov were supposed to headline UFC 310 before Muhammad withdrew due to an infection.
Before UFC 315, Muhammad teased a potential move to middleweight, after labeling the 185 lb division the easiest in the UFC. But after his long winning streak at welterweight came to an end, Muhammad has revenge on his mind.
