Francis Ngannou has traded punches with an array of heavy hitters, but one fighter stands out from the pack.
In his esteemed career, ‘The Predator’ has cemented his status as one of the heaviest-handed individuals to have ever walked the face of the Earth.
However, as thunderous a puncher as the icon is, on occasion, he’s had to feel the brunt of other fighters’ dynamite blows.
And the Cameroonian has confessed that one rival’s power has stuck with him.
WOW: Deontay Wilder gives huge update on potential Francis Ngannou fights in boxing and MMA

Francis Ngannou said Tyson Fury is the heaviest hitter he’s ever fought
On October 28, 2023, Francis Ngannou fought Tyson Fury at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
In what was almost a staggering upset, ‘The Predator’ dropped and nearly defeated ‘The Gypsy King’.
With Ngannou claiming he wasn’t confident ahead of the Fury fight, his performance is even more remarkable.
However, while the Brit was never able to buzz the MMA star and isn’t revered as a particularly big puncher, the now PFL Super Fights heavyweight champion rated his old foe as the hardest hitter he’s ever taken on.
In an interview with The Last Stand, he explained: “Fury punches pretty good. I ate some of his shots, he punches very strong.
“And he was with 10oz gloves because MMA fights are 4oz gloves. In boxing, it’s 10oz. I think, so far, he is the top [hard hitter.]”

Fury is undoubtedly aware that Ngannou packs some serious venom in his shots.
After all, he ended up tumbling toward the canvas after taking a huge left hook from the mixed martial artist.
But does he rate the former UFC champion as having the most dynamite in his hands out of everybody he’s shared the ring with?
In an interesting revelation, Fury admitted whether he thinks Deontay Wilder or Ngannou hits harder.
