Nate Diaz issues X-rated five-word reply to potential Jake Paul vs. Logan Paul MMA showdown

Former UFC superstar Nate Diaz didn’t hold back on Logan Paul’s recent remarks about fighting Jake Paul.

Logan Paul and Jake Paul have disrupted the combat sports world in recent years due to their unprecedented runs in boxing and wrestling. Logan has become one of the biggest stars in WWE, while Jake continues to pursue marquee fights in boxing.

Despite their success in boxing and wrestling, the Paul brothers have teased moves into MMA in recent years. Paul was on target to make his professional MMA debut in the PFL following his signing with the league in 2023, but amidst his ongoing boxing career, a timeline for a PFL debut remains uncertain.

The Pauls nearly broke the internet earlier this year when a potential boxing match between the brothers was teased in an eerie social media promo. But after it turned out to be a promotion for their reality television series, a potential clash was put on the shelf.

Nate Diaz weighs in on Logan Paul’s teased MMA fight with Jake Paul

Former UFC superstar Nate Diaz has a checkered history with the Paul brothers, stemming from his boxing match with Jake in 2022. In his professional boxing debut, Diaz lost to Jake by unanimous decision, before bouncing back with a win in his next boxing fight against Jorge Masvidal last year.

While a Logan vs. Jake boxing match is unlikely, Logan hasn’t ruled out facing his brother in another combat sports discipline. In a recent episode of his IMPAULSIVE podcast, Logan revealed the one condition that would pique his interest in facing Jake in a fight.

“Not unless it’s MMA,” Logan said about potentially fighting Jake. “He’d definitely win [in boxing] at this point. He’s got a heavy hand.

“We would need an insane amount of money.” (h/t MMA Fighting)

Almost immediately after Diaz’s loss to Jake in boxing, the two parties teased a potential rematch in the cage. PFL co-founder Donn Davis repeatedly pitched a showdown between Diaz and Jake in the PFL Smartcage, but a fight never came to fruition despite lucrative offers.

After Logan’s comments about an MMA fight with Jake went viral, it didn’t take long for Diaz to mock the Paul brothers.

In a recent post on X, Diaz responded to Logan’s comments.

“I whoop both these p—–,” Diaz posted.

Diaz hasn’t ruled out a potential return to the UFC Octagon for his next combat sports venture. He hasn’t fought in MMA since finishing Tony Ferguson at UFC 279, after he was originally supposed to face Khamzat Chimaev before Chimaev’s botched weight cut.

As of this writing, neither Logan nor Jake have responded to Diaz’s comments. Jake will return to the ring against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. on June 28th in Anaheim.

As Diaz lurks, Jake isn’t ruling out an MMA debut for later this year against another big-name opponent. Jake wants to fight boxing heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk in the cage, after Usyk pitched a potential MMA debut earlier this year.

Usyk will face Daniel Dubois in an intriguing heavyweight boxing rematch later this year. It marks his return to the ring after back-to-back wins over Tyson Fury to retain his heavyweight championship belts.

Jake also hinted at a potential heavyweight boxing matchup with Anthony Joshua before the Chavez fight materialized. After falling short of a showdown with Canelo Alvarez, Jake is exploring many other options for the calendar year.
