Just a few weeks out from the blockbuster UFC 316 event in Newark, New Jersey, Merab Dvalishvili has once again worried the fanbase.
On June 7, the UFC returns to the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey for UFC 316, headlined by a huge bantamweight title rematch between Merab Dvalishvili and Sean O’Malley.
Their first meeting came in the UFC’s historic event at the Sphere last September and following O’Malley’s disappointing performance, he revealed that he went into the fight with a torn labrum.
Fans criticized the UFC for giving ‘Suga’ an immediate title rematch to which he responded to the criticism by claiming that his camp has already been a lot different to his first.

Merab Dvalishvili suffers brutal cut just weeks out from UFC 316
Ahead of their rematch, O’Malley has been training with Israel Adesanya, the former UFC middleweight champion.
Merab ‘The Machine’ has previously received a lot of criticism for his antics outside of the cage as he is an eccentric personality.
The Georgian worried fans recently after sharing a video of him dancing on the side of a cliff, and after slipping over, he only narrowly avoided disaster.
And now just a few weeks out from his title rematch against O’Malley, Dvalishvili has once again caused worry amongst the UFC fans after he shared images of a brutal cut he has sustained in training.
This isn’t the first time ‘The Machine’ has shared images of a cut sustained in training, as ahead of their first meeting at UFC 306, Dvalishvili posted images online of a cut he suffered just weeks out.
This led to UFC boss Dana White furiously blasting him and labeling him ‘dumb’ during a press conference after Dvalishvili removed the stitches himself with huge shears.
Dana White has reacted to Dvalishvili’s cut in a post shutting down an image of a false reaction.
“Total BULLS—,” White reacted to a fake post on X.
The extent of Merab’s cut this time around is currently unknown, however, the images shared to his social media show blood running from his face.
