Michael Chandler is remaining hopeful that his next UFC fight will finally come against Conor McGregor after years of waiting for the Irish star.
This past April at UFC 314, Michael Chandler suffered another brutal loss in the UFC Octagon when he was battered by Paddy Pimblett on his way to a third round stoppage.
Ahead of their clash in Miami, the stakes for their fight were raised when Conor McGregor declared his interest in fighting the winner of the fight, subsequently betting $50,000 on Chandler to win by KO.
And despite Chandler leaving Miami with a loss, Conor McGregor teased that he is still interested in fighting the all-action fighter in a shock UFC comeback.

Michael Chandler trains with Theo Von ahead of potential McGregor fight
‘The Notorious’ claimed that he would only make his return if he was able to come back and fight in a stadium, and has continuously stated his desire to fight at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
UFC boss Dana White is set to host his first ever TKO Boxing event in the Allegiant Stadium, potentially changing his mind regarding holding UFC events there in the future.
And with talks regarding a potential fight against Chandler continuing to circulate, McGregor has been posting training footage to his social media.
Chandler is a fighter who stays in shape year round, and he was recently joined by popular comedian, Theo Von, for a training session.
Von is a UFC fan at heart and has been spotted in attendance at several UFC events over the past few years, even being praised by the fanbase for getting there early to sit through the prelims.
This isn’t the first time the Louisianan has trained with Chandler, previously saying: “Oh, Chandler’s great man. Chandler is one of the hardest working dudes I know. I go to the same gym as him. You can work out near him but you definitely feel like you don’t have the same blood as him.”
Conor McGregor still not in the UFC drug testing pool
Despite the former UFC double champion continuing to tease a come back to action, he is still yet to register a test session according to the UFC Anti-Doping database.
And with that, it means his comeback is delayed for at least six months until he has registered a test session.
Even though he didn’t fight last year, McGregor was one of the most tested athletes in the UFC, registering 11 test sessions ahead of his scheduled comeback at UFC 303, which of course fell through.
