Jon Jones hits back at Tom Aspinall ‘duck’ claim as thousands of fans hound him during live stream

The UFC fanbase has continued to hound Jon Jones for continuing to delay his potential title unification fight against Tom Aspinall.

Earlier this week, Tom Aspinall set an unwanted record, becoming the longest reigning UFC interim champion in history, something that he is not proud of.

Despite that, the Brit went on to claim that he was set to find out whether or not he will be fighting Jon Jones as he was scheduled for an important meeting with the UFC brass.

However, Jones is currently preoccupied after traveling to Russia to bizarrely take on Nate Diaz in a Russian reality TV show, similar to The Ultimate Fighter.

Jon Jones responds to fans calling him a ‘duck’ during live stream

After traveling to Russia to film the reality TV show, ‘Bones’ then made his way to Thailand, where he is taking in the culture and getting some training in with the students that are taking part in the show.

Whilst in Thailand, Jones took to Instagram live to check in with his fans, letting them know what he is up to. Whilst on live, Jones was riding a moped through the streets of Thailand, riding on the sidewalk and filming while he was driving.

However, the reaction from the fans might not have been one the UFC heavyweight champion was expecting, as the live chat was completely filled with fans calling him a ‘duck’ and sending duck emojis.

“I’ve got people in the chat calling me a duck, meanwhile I’m living my absolute best life,” Jones responded to fans comments.

“I don’t know if it’s considered as ducking when you’re living good. I don’t think it works like that,” he continued.

Tom Aspinall willing to move on from Jon Jones fight

Although UFC boss Dana White remains confident that the title unification will come to fruition, Aspinall is now willing to move on from a fight against Jones as he doesn’t want to continue sitting on the sidelines.

Having said that, the Brit has always remained adamant that his next fight must be for the undisputed UFC heavyweight title, as he doesn’t want to defend an interim title again.

And with that in mind, it now comes down to whether the UFC can negotiate terms with Jones or if they will consider stripping him of his title.

‘Bones’ now only has 96 days to go before he overtakes Cain Velasquez as the longest reigning champion in UFC heavyweight history, despite only making one title defense so far.
