Tom Aspinall’s frustrations may have come to an end following an important meeting in London, England.
The UFC’s interim heavyweight champion isn’t the only one who wants to see the division’s belts get unified in the near future.
Aspinall has broken records while he continues to wait for Jon Jones to come to an agreement with the promotion so that they can face off in the biggest fight of the year.
Jones is currently preoccupied with filming ‘ALF Reality’ but the Brit has become tired of waiting after admitting that there’s nothing he can do to make the fight happen.
Fortunately, the people who can had scheduled a recent meeting with Aspinall that we are yet to learn the full details of.

Tom Aspinall has already met with UFC’s Hunter Campbell to “discuss the plan” regarding Jon Jones
Tom Aspinall recently appeared on the High Performance podcast where he provided the latest major update regarding the Jon Jones saga.
The interim champion spoke about why he believes that ‘Bones’ hasn’t signed on the dotted line, stating that the consensus greatest of all time is holding out for more money because he knows the risk that is attached.
“I just think that, he’s like 37, 38 years old, but not only that, he’s got like a million miles on the clock. He’s got a lot of damage on the body, he’s took a lot of shots to the head, and that’s not me saying anything negative about it. That’s the reality of it and I’m sure Jon Jones is aware of that.”
Aspinall said that from a statistical point of view, he’s the most dangerous guy in the UFC so Jones wants to be financially compensated for this challenge.

When he was asked whether it has been frustrating to constantly speak about a topic that he can’t influence, the 32-year-old said that he’s ready to move on at this stage.
However, Aspinall also said that the months of conversations and rumors would be coming to an end later that day due to a scheduled meeting with the UFC’s Hunter Campbell in London.
He said that he was interested to see what their in-person conversation would lead to after being told that they would get together to “discuss the plan”.
“Oh, I’m well bored of it. I’ve had enough. I think we either need to fight or I need to move on and do something else and like I said, I’m going to find out. Literally, today is the day that I’ve been waiting 3-4 months for and I’m going to find out today.”

Tom Aspinall says he only needs to hit Jon Jones once to beat him
Though Tom Aspinall has repeatedly made harmless jokes about Jon Jones, he has also given his heavyweight rival the respect that he deserves.
For all of the criticism regarding how ‘Bones’ has handled his run at heavyweight, he’s still the greatest to ever do it in a lot of people’s eyes.
Aspinall spoke about how he sees the fight going during his appearance on the High Performance podcast where he said that for all that Jones has accomplished, he won’t be able to avoid his power for five rounds.
“If you look at his body of work over the last 15 years, he’s like as close as you can get to perfection. That being said, he’s got a lot of miles on the clock and he’s fighting one of the most concussive punchers in UFC history and I just think I can exploit it.
“I think to get out the way of me for 25 minutes at this point in his career, without getting hit once, and that’s all I need is just one, I think that’s going to be very difficult for anybody.”
