Jose Aldo will return to the division he dominated for over a decade at UFC 315.
The former two-time UFC featherweight champion enjoyed an 18-fight win streak before Conor McGregor knocked him out in 13 seconds at UFC 194 in December 2015.
Four years later, Jose Aldo dropped down to bantamweight and he’s been fighting there ever since.
‘Scarface’ was supposed to square off against Georges St-Pierre’s teammate, Aiemann Zahabi, at 135lbs on Saturday night – but their fight was subjected to a weight change just 24 hours before UFC 315 gets going.

Jose Aldo returns to featherweight at UFC 315
On Friday, Aldo and Zahabi tipped the scales way above the contracted limit for their fight.
It quickly became clear that their matchup had been moved from bantamweight to featherweight at the last minute.
Veteran MMA reporter Ariel Helwani has since claimed it was due to the fact Aldo couldn’t make 136lbs.
“UFC changed the Jose Aldo x Aiemann Zahabi fight this am when it became clear Aldo wasn’t going to make weight,” he tweeted.
“Zahabi weighed 142lbs and Aldo 143lbs moments ago. Fight was originally slated to be a bantamweight bout.”
Helwani’s claim was backed up by Aldo looking worse for wear when he stepped onto the scales.
