Georges St-Pierre reveals there’s one former fighter who’d present an even tougher challenge in the street than Francis Ngannou.
In his esteemed career, the Canadian cemented his status as one of the greatest of all time, utilizing his sublime cage IQ to dominate his opponents.
However, while renowned for his intelligence, the warrior could also bite down on his gumshield when necessary. St-Pierre overcame the mind games of Nick Diaz, and defeated Michael Bisping despite taking some nasty elbows.
Therefore, he’s in a good position to break down how to fight on the street as well as in the cage.

Georges St-Pierre says he’d rather fight Francis Ngannou than Bas Rutten on the streets
Francis Ngannou is an absolute monster, with very few people volunteering to trade punches with him on the streets.
However, Georges St-Pierre thinks one icon of the fight game would present an even scarier challenge.
In an interview with Lex Fridman, he explained: “In a street fight, I would rather fight Francis Ngannou than fight Bas Rutten.
“Very often, people ask me the difference between a street fight and a fight in mixed martial arts. The difference in the street is that there is no referee. There is an instigator, and there is the other person.
“If you’re in a heated argument with someone, and you feel that you could potentially be in a fight, the best thing to do is never show your center line, always go on the side, and put your hand up.
“From there, the distance that I have to travel to cause a lot of damage to him is very minimal, I can go boom, and I’m protected because if he tries to do anything, my hands are already up.
“The minute he touches me, he declares a war.”
‘Georges St-Pierre would have beat him’… UFC legend predicts fantasy fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov
While St-Pierre has never been overly confrontational, there’s no doubt he could handle himself on the streets. After all, this is a man who managed to conquer two weight divisions.
His skill set was so impressive that one MMA icon believes he could’ve beaten Khabib Nurmagomedov.
The two all-time greats were seemingly on a collision course, but sadly for the fans, the contest never took place.
However, a former UFC title challenger has explained why he thinks St-Pierre would’ve had the edge over Nurmagomedov.
