Conor McGregor jokes ‘we are not fielding offers’ after son shows off sporting superstar potential

Conor McGregor’s eldest son appears to be a chip off the old block.

The former dual-weight UFC champion has enjoyed plenty of family time during his four-year layoff, which began when he suffered a broken leg against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021.

On Thursday, Conor McGregor was pitchside to watch his eight-year-old son’s soccer game.

‘Notorious’ shared a video of Conor Jr. in action alongside a boastful post about his son’s exploits.

The youngster proved he is a different type of striker than his dad on the soccer field.

Conor Jr. scored every goal for his team during an emphatic 7-1 win that excited ‘Mystic Mac’.

The father of four showed a clip of a near miss he claimed should’ve been his son’s eighth goal of the game.

McGregor used the caption to jokingly reject any incoming offers for Conor Jr’s signature.

“The UFC legend tweeted: “Congrats Conor McGregor Jnr. and team on the win!”

“7-1 and Conor scored all 7! This should have been ruled number 8 down off the crossbar.

“But sure look. Onward! We are not fielding offers, we remain loyal to club and to country.”

What’s next for Conor McGregor?

McGregor has spent most of his time on the sidelines talking up a potential return to the Octagon.

In 2025, comeback chatter has been non-existent, causing fans to worry that he’ll never return to the UFC.

McGregor eased fears when he expressed his interest in potentially facing the winner of Michael Chandler vs Paddy Pimblett, which took place at UFC 314 in Miami last month.

Post-fight, McGregor overlooked Pimblett’s TKO victory as he talked up ‘unfinished business’ with Chandler.

UFC CEO Dana White hasn’t addressed McGregor’s MMA return for quite some time, but he’s likely to face questions about it before and after UFC 315 this weekend.
