UFC legend Mark Coleman loses 30lbs in three weeks to make fighting weight for bizarre RIZIN cameo

Mark Coleman is back down to his fighting weight after a dramatic three-week body transformation.

The former UFC heavyweight champion, who also competed at light heavyweight during his Hall of Fame career, hasn’t fought since losing to Randy Couture in February 2010.

Still, the 60-year-old has recently undergone a massive weight cut to prepare for something else.

Mark Coleman claims he’s lost 30lbs and is currently at the same weight he was for his two-fight series with fellow MMA legend Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua, which began two decades ago.

Mark Coleman’s body transformation

On Sunday, Jiri Prochazka’s nearly naked cameo at the RIZIN Grand Prix in Japan shocked fans.

The former UFC light heavyweight champion appeared on stage with six other legends, including Coleman, wearing nothing but a Mawashi as they took part in an epic opening ceremony.

“Blessed to take part in the opening ceremonies of the 2025 RIZIN Grand Prix! I got to pound the drums in front of thousands,” Coleman reflected on Instagram.

“Yes, I felt very comfortable in my undies.. My goal was to make my Pride GP weight 228 lbs. But decided to go lower 224lbs my Shogun Rua fight weight.

“Yes I felt great that night ! I dropped 30 lbs in 3 weeks. And now that it’s over, I sure am going to enjoy gaining 40 pounds back probably before I land in America.

“Life is what you make it make a great Sober‘s course thing ever carnivore diet is bad ass hammer house is always for life Heusen.”

What’s next for Mark Coleman?

Coleman will soon see moments from his legendary life on the silver screen.

‘The Hammer’ will be portrayed by Ryan Bader in the upcoming MMA movie ‘The Smashing Machine‘.

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson will play the lead role of Mark Kerr, Coleman’s two-time UFC heavyweight tournament champion teammate.

Coleman reacted to the movie’s trailer dropping by paying homage to the man portraying his pal.

“The filming of the “Smashing Machine” With the King of action movies @therock,” he wrote alongside a picture of him Johnson on set. Go check out the trailer.
