Patrice Evra will get some extra time to prepare for his eagerly anticipated MMA debut.

It was recently announced the Manchester United legend will transition to MMA for a fight at PFL Paris on May 23.

However, the 43-year-old has seen his fight delayed by a bombshell announcement from the PFL.

PFL Paris postponed

On Thursday, the UFC’s biggest rival posted a statement about its upcoming show in the French capital.

Without reason, PFL announced that the card featuring Evra and 25 other fighters has been postponed.

“PFL Europe Paris on May 23 has been rescheduled, and a new date will be announced soon,” the statement read.

“All fans who have purchased a ticket will receive a full refund.”

Patrice Evra to train with Khabib Nurmagomedov?

Annoying as it is, the delay means Evra has more time to learn from UFC legend Khabib Nurmagomedov.

“Brother, you don’t need this why? If you need to fight I’m gonna fight for you,” Khabib said during a phone call with Evra.

The Champions League winner replied with a laugh: “I need to train bro, I need to take it seriously You know how much respect I have for you, for the sport, and that’s why I really need to have a training session with you. I really need to know from the best.”

Khabib then used his famed “send location” catchphrase demanding to know where he was training. “Tell me where are you?” He asked. “Brother, when I see you, you have to be ready and that’s it. Other things we can take care of, I’m going to teach you how to smash people.”

He added: “I just want you to improve yourself, nothing else. It’s very good to see you brother, send me location and we will train.”
