Despite an early scare in the first round when Blanchfield managed to secure a guillotine choke on Fiorot, the French fighter largely dominated all five-rounds of their 15 minute encounter.

She resisted her opponent’s attempts to clinch whenever possible, using her size and strength to her advantage as Fiorot earned a unanimous decision win in Atlantic City.

Fiorot is a black belt in karate, having trained in the martial art since she was just 7 years old. She earned her black belt at the age of 18 before being recruited to fight for her home country of France.
