Joe Rogan explains how Paddy Pimblett ‘tricks’ his opponents in the UFC… ‘It’s very impressive’

Joe Rogan believes Paddy Pimblett lulls his UFC rivals into a false sense of security.

When ‘The Baddy’ debuted in the promotion, many expected him to struggle to reach the highest level. However, after beating Michael Chandler, the Liverpudlian is on the cusp of securing a shot at Islam Makhachev.

Dustin Poirier thinks Pimblett is capable of becoming UFC champion, and the company’s commentator is equally impressed by what he’s seen from the Englishman.

Rogan thinks that the grappler is significantly better than given credit for.

Joe Rogan says Paddy Pimblett’s hairstyle tricks his opponents

Joe Rogan rates Paddy Pimblett very highly, believing the Scouser is an extremely dangerous operator.

The podcaster is convinced that one of the fighter’s greatest strengths is the impact his iconic look has on his opponents.

In an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, the American explained: “Paddy is a big lightweight. I know he gets real fat in between fights, but he’s big. He’s a lot bigger than people think.

“I always say he tricks people by dancing and having silly hair. That’s a killer. He’s tricking you; he’s like one of those bugs that pretends it’s a stick, and then he attacks you.

Joe Rogan gives his stance on Paddy Pimblett’s resume

Slowly but surely, Pimblett is compiling a resume jam-packed with MMA legends.

And while some slate the lightweight star for taking on veterans of the sport, Rogan believes, in context, they’re still excellent wins.

He added: “I love Chandler as well, and I love Paddy. He’s very impressive.

“There’s a good argument that the last three guys he fought — Bobby (King) Green, Chandler and Tony Ferguson — he’s fighting guys with losing records, which is true. But it’s still very impressive.

“What he did to Chandler in comparison to what Charles Oliveira did. Oliveira was in real trouble in the third round of their last fight, and in real trouble of the first round of their first fight. Paddy was never in trouble.”
