Jack Della Maddalena’s current win streak is even longer than Belal Muhammad’s

Jack Della Maddalena boasts an impressive win streak as he prepares to challenge Belal Muhammad at UFC 315.

Belal Muhammad’s fight with Shavkat Rakhmonov at UFC 310 was cancelled, leading to a defense against the undefeated Jack Della Maddalena at UFC 315.

The two men both have impressive records and currently hold long win streaks in UFC. However, Della Maddalena will be happy going into the fight with the longest of the two, albeit for controversial reasons.

Jack Della Maddalena is on a 7-fight streak in UFC

As he looks forward to his first world title fight in his career, Della Maddalena will be confident in having a longer winning streak than his UFC 315 opponent.

Since his first fight back in 2022, the Australian fighter has taken on all comers and beaten them one-by-one, and in impressive fashion.

His first fight was a clash against Pete Rodriguez on the UFC 270 undercard. He used the jab to destroy his American opponent’s nose before going in for the kill with a huge left hook to knock him out in the first round.

His next two fights went much the same, knocking out Ramazan Emeev and Danny Roberts just minutes into the bout to establish himself as a knockout artist.

Della Maddalena changed tact against Randy Brown at UFC 284, Brown had a longer reach which made the Australian’s striking less effective. He managed to hook in a rear naked choke, forcing the submission victory to keep his undefeated streak alive.

Bassil Hafez proved his toughest test yet, with the pair trading heavy blows and submissions for all three 5-minute rounds. However, JDM’s cardio proved to be the difference, as he outlasted his opponent and won the split decision from the judges.

The same happened against Kevin Holland, but Della Maddalena found his spark again by knocking out Gilbert Burns. It took to the end of the third round to escape a submission before landing a huge knee and a flurry of elbows before the referee called off the fight and awarded him the victory.

That put the Australian at 7 wins in a row, more than his UFC 315 opponent has managed.

Della Maddalena has one more win in a row than Belal Muhammad

Despite being the UFC Welterweight champion, Muhammad’s win streak in the UFC only extends to his last six fights.

Muhammad has torn through his last six opponents, winning five of the fights by unanimous decision while knocking out Sean Brady during their UFC 280 fight.

He has collected scalps from big names like Gilbert Burns and Leon Edwards en route to become the world champion for the first time in his career.

He would have had 11 wins in a row if not for his first battle with Leon Edwards in 2021 That is because their fight was ruled a no-contest in controversial circumstances and nobody was awarded the victory.

Despite dominating the first round, Edwards poked his finger into Muhammad’s eye accidently, causing the fight to be called off immediately.

The Palestinian-American fighter was scared he had gone blind and his MMA career hung in the balance. Thankfully he recovered from the injury and returned to beat Edwards for the Welterweight belt in their rematch in 2024.

While its hard to blame Muhammad for that no-contest and take away what would be an impressive record, the facts are the facts: Della Maddalena has a longer win streak than Muhammad, but that could all change at UFC 315.
