Jose Aldo left Joe Rogan worried after causing ‘near riot’ launching himself into crowd following terrifying KO win

Jose Aldo couldn’t contain his excitement after defending his UFC featherweight title in his home city, launching himself into the crowd and disappearing.

This coming Saturday at UFC 315 in Montreal, Jose Aldo makes the 23rd appearance of his storied UFC career when he takes on Georges St-Pierre’s protege, Aiemann Zahabi.

Zahabi was paid to mimic Aldo several years ago for Kenny Florian’s fight camp when he took on ‘The King of Rio’ for the 145lb title.

And now ahead of his fight against the UFC legend, Zahabi has vowed to retire Aldo in the most brutal way possible, with the 38-year-old nearing towards potentially his final fight in the sport.

Throughout his incredible career, in which he will likely go down as one of the greatest of all time, Aldo has scored some terrifying victories, and one of the most notable came against Chad Mendes at UFC 142.

Jose Aldo worried Joe Rogan after almost causing a riot at UFC 142

After defending his title against Mark Hominick and Kenny Florian, Aldo was matched up with ‘Money’ Mendes at UFC 142, which was his first UFC fight in his home country, Brazil.

Mendes was coming into his first title fight off the back of two impressive victories, hoping to put an end to Aldo’s 13-fight win streak and historic run in the division.

Although Mendes was thought to be the best wrestler Aldo had come up against in his career at that point, the Brazilian showcased his incredible takedown defense from the very first round, also plastering Mendes with crushing leg kicks.

Near the end of the round, Mendes had a body lock on Aldo, pushing him against the cage, however, Aldo managed to break the grip and as he turned to face the American, he landed a terrifying knee, knocking Mendes out cold.

However, it was the celebration that proceeded that became one of the most iconic moments of Aldo’s career, as he sprinted out of the cage and launched himself head first into the Brazilian crowd to celebrate with the fans.

“He just ran out of the Octagon and ran right into the crowd. They are swarming him now, this is nuts! He just ran out of the cage and ran right into the crowd and there’s a near riot going on here right now,” Joe Rogan reacted.

The fans then hoisted Aldo onto their shoulders, carrying him closer to the Octagon, settling Rogan’s nerves.

Joe Rogan not commentating Jose Aldo’s potential final UFC fight

The longtime UFC commentator has been in the booth for the large majority of Aldo’s career, witnessing his greatness up close for several years.

However, at UFC 315 on Saturday, Rogan will not be in attendance to commentate on what could be Aldo’s final fight under the UFC banner, depending on how the fight plays out.

Both Rogan and the UFC fanbase will be hopeful that the legendary Brazilian still has several more fights left in him, continuing his Hall of Fame career.
