Dillon Danis fires brutal shots at Canelo Alvarez following the legend’s victory over William Scull

Dillon Danis took aim at Canelo Alvarez after the Mexican defeated William Scull via unanimous decision.

Last night at the Anb Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the future Hall of Famer, successfully defended his WBA, WBC, WBO and Ring Magazine world titles, and picked up the IBF belt too.

In the aftermath, it was confirmed that he’ll go to war with Terence Crawford on September 12 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

However, that major announcement wasn’t enough to distract MMA’s most polarizing jiu-jitsu practitioner from the lackluster fight inside the ring.

Dillon Danis said Canelo Alvarez put people to sleep during his fight with William Scull

In a fight that failed to live up to expectations, William Scull did very little in terms of offense, employing nonstop movement around the ring, without throwing anything with real conviction.

Canelo Alvarez was the aggressor throughout the bout, but refused to do more than necessary to get the win.

After watching the contest, Dillon Danis took to social media to voice his displeasure, firing shots at not just the Guadalajara fighter, but the sport as a whole.

He tweeted: “Canelo just solidified my point. MMA is way more exciting than boxing. The supposed king of boxing went 12 rounds with a mannequin from JCPenney and still put everyone to sleep.

“At this point, boxing ain’t a sport anymore, it’s a sleep aid with ring lights.”

Dillon Danis takes aim at Devin Haney after his underwhelming comeback

The MMA star is never afraid of launching verbal bombs. Last week, Danis said that Anthony Smith should lose his ‘Lionheart’ nickname after a tough loss.

Therefore, it comes as no major surprise that he was willing to insult Canelo. And the face of boxing isn’t the only master of the sweet science that the grappler went for this weekend.

On Friday evening, a major event hit Times Square, but the fights failed to deliver.

In a brutal rant, Danis savaged Devin Haney with a ruthless joke.
