Max Holloway has fought some heavy hitters, but one UFC veteran stands out from the pack.
Throughout his legendary career, ‘Blessed’ has showcased breathtaking boxing skills, regularly making his opponents miss with ease.
However, on occasion, fighters like Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor have managed to break through his defense.
But despite their ferocious power, neither of the MMA icons have hit him the hardest.

Max Holloway said Andre Fili is the hardest puncher he’s fought at featherweight
Max Holloway has battled it out with some of the best in the business, with the Hawaiian adamant that nobody in the 145-pound division punched him as hard as Andre Fili.
At the UFC Kansas City post-fight press conference, after his victory in 2023, Holloway was full of praise for his former opponent.
He said: “Andre Fili, he’s the only guy that I ever got caught with, and I looked at the time like, ‘What the f—? What am I doing?’ I remember going to the cage and being like, ‘He hit me pretty hard.’
“Andre Fili is the hardest cracker I’ve felt at 145lbs, for sure.” However, it’s worth noting that the featherweight star had yet to take on Ilia Topuria.
Regardless, while ‘Touchy’ carries power in his shots, on July 19, at UFC 318, Holloway will have a much bigger challenge on his hands in the form of Poirier.
