Jack Della Maddalena is dusting up his grappling skills ahead of his UFC 315 main event fight against Belal Muhammad.
In just under two weeks’ time, Belal Muhammad will make the first defense of his welterweight title when he takes on Jack Della Maddalena at UFC 315 in Quebec, Canada.
The fight came about in an unorthodox way after Shavkat Rakhmonov missed out on the title shot due to an injury, resulting in the UFC pulling Della Maddalena from his scheduled fight against Leon Edwards to fill in.
Ahead of their title fight, Della Maddalena has labeled Muhammad as ‘boring’, as he looks to take another title back to Australia.

Della Maddalena chokes Craig Jones to sleep during training camp
Despite the wide criticism of ‘Remember The Name’ Muhammad, he has been called the ‘complete package’ by Georges St-Pierre, who is still widely regarded as the greatest welterweight of all time.
Although the majority of Muhammad’s wins have come by way of decision, he has showcased his sheer dominance in the wrestling and grappling department, which he is believed to have a huge advantage over Della Maddalena in this matchup.
However, even though the Australian is regarded to have the big striking advantage, he is clearly brushing up his grappling skills during his training camp, as a video was shared online of him putting grappling World Champion Craig Jones to sleep.
Fans immediately questioned the legitimacy of the video, as Jones is quite a comical figure online, leading to fans believing that it was fake.
“Time to retire. I wish this was a joke. I’m the joke,” Jones commented on the video of him going to sleep after being D’arce choked.
Ian Machado Garry set to weigh-in as back up for UFC 315 main event
Despite having fought this past Saturday at UFC Kansas City, Ian Machado Garry will weigh-in as the backup for the welterweight title fight at UFC 315.
At this point, it is unlikely that there will be an issue with either Muhammad or Della Maddalena, and Machado Garry will likely have to wait for his title shot.
