Fans have shared their concern regarding Deiveson Figueiredo after images have emerged of him looking completely out of shape ahead of UFC Des Moines.
This coming Saturday at UFC Des Moines, former flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo returns to the cage to take on bantamweight boogeyman, Cory Sandhagen.
Since moving up to 135lbs in 2023, Figueiredo has scored several impressive wins over the likes of Rob Font, Cody Garbrandt and Marlon Vera, before losing last time out to Petr Yan.
On Saturday in Iowa, though, ‘Deus Da Guerra’ has the chance to put himself back into bantamweight title contention, hoping to hand Sandhagen his second loss in a row.

Fans left concerned after images of Figueiredo surface
Despite hoping to put on another performance like he did when he won the UFC flyweight title, fans have shared their concerns regarding the Brazilian after images began emerging online.
The 37-year-old making 125lbs always concerned the fanbase as he always looked to have a brutal weight cut, and when he moved up to bantamweight, it came as quite the relief to many.
Now, though, Figgy has seemingly gone to the other end of the spectrum as in recent images, the former champion looks to have put on a lot of weight.
“Does Figgy know he’s fighting this weekend?” One fan commented.
“100 bucks he misses weight,” another fan reacted.
Although the images have only just surfaced online, it is unclear how recently they were captured and how far into his camp they are.
“Bro looks like me after Christmas,” a third fan said.
“Figgy been eating good! Head doubled in size,” another fan commented.
In his UFC career, the Brazilian has only missed weight once before, ahead of his title fight against Joseph Benavidez.
“Rooting for bro but he looks kind of chubby, lol,” a fifth fan said.
This isn’t the first time fans have mocked Figueiredo
Unfortunately for Figueiredo, this isn’t the first time during his Des Moines camp that he has been mocked by the UFC fanbase.
Recently, the Brazilian shared a video of him working on his head movement by attempting to dodge cones that were being thrown his way by his coach.
Fans didn’t react very kindly to his movement in the video, questioning his preparation.
