Mariusz Pudzianowski responds to Eddie Hall’s public apology after illegal strikes during 30 second win

Eddie Hall shocked the MMA world this past weekend, making his professional debut in Poland.

A few months ago, former World’s Strongest Man, Eddie Hall confirmed he was going to be making his professional MMA debut against fellow strong man, Mariusz Pudzianowski at KSW 105.

‘The Beast’ had been teasing a potential move into MMA for several years, and following a freak 2vs1 fight, in which he scored two brutal KO’s, he called out the Polish behemoth for the World’s Strongest fight.

Unlike Hall, Pudzianowski has had quite a fruitful career in MMA following his strong man days, having scored KO’s over the likes of Bob Sapp and Butterbean.

Despite his huge experience advantage, though, Pudzianowski was knocked out by Hall in a 30 second blitz, handing Hall a win in his debut.

Although the Brit utterly dominated his Polish counterpart, the fight came with some controversy as Pudzianowski immediately complained after the fight that he was hit with several illegal strikes to the back of the head.

Hall went on to admit that he did accidentally strike the back of Pudzianowski’s head, offering what seemed to be a sincere apology.

‘The Beast’ went on to bizarrely admit that he is interested in a potential ‘freakshow’ fight against Conor McGregor, despite the huge difference in weight.

A few days removed from their super heavyweight clash, Pudzianowski has responded to Hall’s apology for the illegal strikes.

“He was better, he won. This is not chess. It happens like that sometimes,” Pudzianowski posted on his Instagram story.

Eddie Hall could fight in Bare-Knuckle Boxing

Ahead of their fight in Poland, Pudzianowski admitted that he is considering retirement soon, now at 48 years old.

Hall, on the other hand, is seemingly just at the beginning of what could be a relatively successful career in combat sports and he has admitted that he would consider fighting in Conor McGregor‘s BKFC if he was offered big money.

BKFC has somewhat separated itself from the likes of PFL, Bellator, and ONE Championship as the second most popular combat sports promotion outside of the UFC, consistently signing exciting fighters from the premier promotion.

The main issue regarding Hall fighting without gloves, would be finding a similar size opponent, who is willing to potentially take some huge shots from one of the strongest men ever.
