Khabib Nurmagomedov used his famous catchphrase as he demanded that Patrice Evra ‘send me location’ ahead of his MMA debut.
The Manchester United legend has signed up to fight for the PFL next month in Paris, and has been training in Dubai where UFC icon Nurmgomedov has been living. He has already got some training in with some major names, and was seen in a video speaking with the undefeated great.
Evra’s career took him from Old Trafford to wearing the white and black of Juventus as well as stints at West Ham, Monaco and Marseille. But at the age of 43 after years of training, he is heading to the cage for an MMA fight.
Patrice Evra links with Khabib Nurmagomedov ahead of PFL debut
Patrice Evra was training at his gym in Dubai recently when he was able to get on a FaceTime call with MMA legend Khabib Nurmagomedov. The former world champion is a big Manchester United fan, and warned the former footballer that he didn’t need to fight before eventually agreeing to help him train.
After joking about not answering when he called, Nurmagomedov eventually asked Evra about his training. “I’m good, I just finished training, I am training twice per day,” the footballer said, to which Nurmagomedov replied “Brother, you don’t need this why? If you need to fight I’m gonna fight for you.”
Evra laughed at the idea before admitting that “I need to train bro, I need to take it seriously, you know how much respect I have for you, for the sport and that’s why I really need to have a training session with you. I really need to know from the best.”
Khabib then used his famed “send location” catchphrase demanding to know where he is training. “Tell me where are you?” He asked. “Brother, when I see you, you have to be ready and that’s it. Other things we can take care of, I’m going to teach you how to smash people.”
Evra then joked that while he knows Nurmagomedov loves him and is a fan, that he also fears he wants to “kill and destroy” him. “No no,” the Russian replied. “I just want you to improve yourself, nothing else. It’s very good to see you brother, send me location and we will train.”
Patrice Evra has spent time with Brendan Loughnane and Cedric Doumbe before MMA fight
Prior to making his debut, Evra has enlisted the best of the best to help him with his training. He is working out at the Tripl3 MMA gym in Dubai, and has already been visited by Brendan Loughnane for a session.

Evra has also famously linked with Cedric Doumbe in his early training when he was planning a boxing fight. In an Instagram post, Loughnane posed with his 2022 belt alongside Evra before seemingly taking him through a light move around. He captioned it: “Welcome to the @pflmma brother #Manchester,”
