Daniel Cormier was rendered furious with Khabib Nurmagomedov and Islam Makhachev in the middle of an intense discussion.
Having trained extensively alongside the lightweight legends, ‘DC’ has formed an incredibly close bond with the esteemed grapplers.
However, on occasion, tempers can flare. Cormier once slapped Makhachev for making a ‘disrespectful’ joke.
And during a conversation about wrestling, tensions almost hit boiling point.

Daniel Cormier says Khabib Nurmagomedov is lying about what happened in Dagestan
In an effort to help his students hone their craft, Daniel Cormier sent several young wrestlers out to Dagestan.
However, Khabib Nurmagomedov and Islam Makhachev have a completely different version of events when it comes to what transpired in their homeland than the former two-weight UFC world champion does.
In a video uploaded to his YouTube channel, Cormier exclaimed: “When my kids went to Dagestan, we smash.” Taken aback, Makhachev raged: “You smash?”
Nurmagomedov then claimed Cormier’s students only got: “One point.” Denying that claim, the former heavyweight king fired back: “No, we didn’t take one point.” Khabib conceded: “You take two points, that’s it.”
Makhachev then suggested: “Maybe somebody is lying, brother.” Denying this, Cormier insisted: “I have the video”
This prompted Nurmagomedov to say: “Don’t talk about Dagestan kids. It’s different level. American kids are not on Dagestan kids’ level, please, brother, you have to be quiet.”
The now-retired undefeated competitor then asked: “How many kids come to Dagestan?” Cormier replied: “Eight”
The former lightweight champion exclaimed: “They all [here for] two weeks, one guy takes only two points.”
In complete denial, the Louisianian stated: “No, that’s not true,” which prompted Makhachev to respond, “Maybe somebody is lying.”
Cormier then claimed the untrustworthy individual was in fact Khabib, asserting: “This guy is lying. This dude right here is lying.”

Feuding over whether wrestling is of a higher standard in America or in Dagestan isn’t the only thing that’s caused issues between Cormier and Nurmagomedov over the years.
With such a strong friendship, the former 155lbs title holder has no issue with playing pranks on his pal.
However, one time, things went a little too far.
Embarrassed by what had happened, Cormier furiously confronted Khabib over a practical joke.
