International Fight Week is the talk of the MMA world right now with one of the most important nights of the year quickly approaching.
The main event of UFC 317 is surely going to be one of the biggest fights of 2025 but options appear to be relatively slim right now.
After clarifying rumors that he isn’t injured, Dricus du Plessis could still be in the conversation even though he did write in his statement that fighting in June wasn’t ever an option that was locked in.
There have also been some positive signs regarding Ilia Topuria who teased that he is back in camp and with June 28 being just over two months out, this could be a possibility.
Ultimately, the fight that most fans want to see between Jon Jones and Tom Aspinall looks highly unlikely right now and fans are starting to get impatient with the MMA leader.
Dana White trolls fan on social media who called for him to announce the fight
With the likes of Dricus du Plessis, Ilia Topuria and Islam Makhachev all being closely monitored by fans, it’s expected that an announcement regarding UFC 317 won’t be far away.
That is unless the UFC are yet to secure what the main event will be but in either case, they will likely keep their cards close to their chests until the news gets put out there.
Dana White’s latest public appearance came at another huge date on the TKO calendar for 2025, WrestleMania 41 which took place in Las Vegas this past weekend.
White didn’t receive the best of reactions from the crowd when he was shown on the screens and fans on social media have had a similar response.
Over the next few days, Kansas City is set to play host to the first TKO Takeover with the UFC hosting a Fight Night event on Saturday night with WWE Raw taking place the following Monday.
However, the TKO action actually begins at the T-Mobile Center on Thursday with a Professional Bull Riders event going down before the Octagon arrives.
The UFC boss shared a post about his bull’s, named ‘Dana White’s Playmate’, PBR Teams debut but one disgruntled fan had other announcements on their mind, writing, “Who cares about your cow. Announce the fight.”
White responded to the comment by trolling the fan and referring back to his prized bull.
“LMFAO!!!!! I’m NEVER announcing it. How handsome is that BULL!?!? SAY IT”

The one comment that Dana White responded to certainly wasn’t the only fan who asked for answers underneath the UFC president’s latest post.
Fight fans repeatedly made reference to UFC 317 and the list of potential fights that could headline one of the biggest cards of the year below the post.
Whilst some referred to the likes of Topuria vs Makhachev or Jones vs Aspinall who would all be suitable candidates for this marquee event, others just wanted any kind of news now that the card is on the horizon.
One fan summarized a lot of the reactions by simply telling White to do his job, writing, “Make some fights.”
