Israel Adesanya has ramped up his training ahead of another UFC comeback.
The former two-time UFC middleweight champion is currently riding the worst losing streak of his career.
A shock knockout loss to Nassourdine Imavov at UFC Saudi Arabia in February made it three defeats in a row for ‘The Last Stylebender’, who wants to continue his MMA career, despite admitting he’s unlikely to get another shot at world title glory.
Israel Adesanya recently linked up with David Goggins, who put him through a most brutal workout.

David Goggins makes Israel Adesanya vomit
Goggins is a famous fitness influencer, former Navy SEAL, and record-holding endurance athlete.
The 50-year-old is considered by many to be one of the toughest men on the planet.
Goggins put Tony Ferguson through ‘Hell Week’ before he fought Paddy Pimblett at UFC 296 in December 2023. It didn’t help ‘El Cucuy’ roll back the years with a win, but he did seem to be the fresher man after 15 minutes of fighting.
One day of training with Goggins was enough for Adesanya, who spewed his guts up.
A brief snippet of their training session was recently shared on YouTube by Alex Pereira‘s greatest rival.
It shows Adesanya doing several different types of exercises before vomitting into a gym bin.
Israel Adesanya names ideal comeback opponent
Adesanya wants to avenge the loss that began the downward spiral he is currently on.
Sean Strickland dropped and outpointed Adesanya to take the middleweight title in a massive upset victory at UFC 293 in September 2023.
Dricus du Plessis has since dethroned Sean Strickland and beaten him in a rematch for 185lb gold.
Adesanya thinks now is the time for him and the wacky American to run it back inside the Octagon.
“I told Hunter [Campbell], already told my coach here, it’s time. I know who, I have a feeling who I wanna fight,” Adesanya told Goggins. “You’ll like this one. I can get some get-back [on] Sean Strickland.
“No! You’re going after him?” said Goggins in disbelief.
Adesanya added: “He beat me fair and square in Sydney, 5-0. Just whooped my a– badly.
“That was one of the things what made me realize I need to slow down in my activity. I was fighting 3-4 a year as a champion. So I’m like, I’m gonna pull back now because I’m older.
“I’m doing things different. I don’t wanna make excuses because he beat me. But then I just wanna show him if he beat me at my best. So, this time I’m gonna come in and correct.”
