GLORY Kickboxing returns to America as they launch partnership with Jake Paul’s Betr

GLORY Kickboxing is coming back to America for a special series of events at Jake Paul’s Miami warehouse.

The flagship kickboxing brand hasn’t been in the United States since a series of events in 2019, but comes back after inking a new partnership with Jake Paul’s media company Betr. Personalities from the social media star’s slate of influencers will be guest coaches in a new twist on the first event.

A five fight card arrives in Florida on May 1, with Betr Derek and Betr Jojo picking sides throughout the evening. The promotion hilariously trolled Derek, who fancies himself a fighter, by teasing that he might compete before eventually getting him to ‘coach’.

GLORY Kickboxing is coming back to America

After years of focusing their efforts around the world, GLORY Kickboxing is returning to the Uited States for an invite-only kickboxing event series. They will kick off on May 1, with the infamous ‘Betr Derek’ Sullivan dipping his toe into the sport in a coaching role.

The controversial social media star has trolled the likes of Nate Diaz, Sean O’Malley and Israel Adesanya, and appears keen to make a boxing debut of his own. But first he will take on a guest coaching role as part of the series’ opening showcase next month.

Kicking off the series is a five-fight card headlined by a massive champion vs champion rematch as welterweight world champion Chico Kwasi (44-5-1, 23 KO) defends his gold against the lightweight world champion Tyjani “The Wonderboy” Beztati.

GLORY Kickboxing bosses open up about Betr partnership

“With GLORY Underground: Powered by Betr, we’re merging world-class kickboxing with creator-driven storytelling in a way that’s never been done before.

“GLORY Underground is where sport, entertainment, and culture collide – creating a next-generation combat experience like no other. We’re embracing innovation by showcasing elite fight talent in a raw, immersive setting and amplifying it through cutting-edge content platforms.”

The first event can be viewed live for free beginning at 7 pm ET on GLORY’s YouTube channel. There will be 100 VIP guests invited to take in the action at the secret Miami location.
