Drake names one key term needed to settle Kendrick Lamar feud in boxing fight

Drake would be willing to settle his legendary rap feud with Kendrick Lamar in the boxing ring, but doesn’t want it broadcast.

The two music moguls have had one of the defining beefs of this generation of rap, with diss tracks on either side transcending their rivalry. Drake is known to train boxing, while Kendrick has a limited background in the sport but has been trained before.

Speaking with Adin Ross on a Kick stream, the Canadian was asked about who he would fight if he were to take part in a celebrity boxing match. While he didn’t name Lamar in particular, he laughed at the obviousness of the answer to the question.

Drake wants to fight Kendrick Lamar behind closed doors

During an appearance on a promotional Kick stream for a betting website, Drake was asked by Adin Ross if he would ever take a fight. He asked who would make a good opponent, and within seconds laughed at the idea that there might be any more than one answer.

“Would you ever get in there?” Ross asked, to which Drake replied “No”. Asked what “the bag” would need to be, he stopped himself before even asking who would make sense. “If we were fighting it would be at Hino’s gym or something like that behind closed garage doors.”

The Hino he refers to is Nigerian pro boxer Hino Ehikhamenor, who has trained the Canadian musician in the past. It seems that after the pair both made millions from their rap beef, Drake doesn’t want the fight to make anyone else any money.

Adin Ross told to get out of MMA by UFC boss Dana White

Ross, of course, could only dream of bringing such a monumental fight to life in his new Brand Risk Promotions, which brought influencer MMA to life for the first time on Friday night. He runs the events out of a plush Miami warehouse, with celebrities regularly attending.

He was joined in the commentary booth on Friday night by UFC boss Dana White and his right hand man Hunter Campbell. The trio joked and seemed to have fun during the live stream, but White was blunt with his advice when asked by the fledgling promoter what he should do.

The UFC CEO and soon-to-be boxing supremo replied that Ross should “stay out of this business, it’s not as easy as it looks”. Ross seemed to take it well, laughing off the idea and telling White that he “might have to go back to boxing.”
