President Donald Trump snubs TV star for handshake as he embraces Joe Rogan during explosive UFC 314 entrance

United States President Donald Trump made a beeline for Joe Rogan during his UFC walkout tonight, and ignored a beloved TV star.

President Trump is in attendance at UFC 314 in Miami alongside promotional boss Dana White tonight, and was keen to embrace Rogan as quickly as possible once he got to cageside. He greeted a number of celebrities and dignitaries on route to the cage, but missed one major name in a big bluff.

Despite an unpopular few weeks with the American public, President Trump was incredibly well-received by the Florida crowd, likely full of voters who helped him to reclaim the White House in November. And he made headlines without even saying a word on his way to the event.

Right at the end of the UFC 314 prelims, President Donald Trump made his way to his cageside seat at the Kaseya Center. He was flanked by his family, secret service and of course UFC boss Dana White, and spent time shaking hands with fans, celebrities and officials on his walk.

Barstool boss Dave Portnoy was among those who were greeted warmly by the President, as well as his close friend Robert F Kennedy Jr. However, he wasn’t so keen on shaking hands with Kennedy’s wife; Curb Your Enthusiasm’s Cheryl Hines.

He was obviously making an effort to get to Joe Rogan, whom he credits with helping him to win the election with a lengthy podcast appearance last year. The pair shared an embrace, before Trump headed towards the legendary Daniel Cormier who is also on commentary.

Dana White details friendship with Donald Trump after years-long friendship

Dana White and Donald Trump have been close friends for years, dating back to the UFC’s early days staging events at his casinos in Atlantic City. Even when Trump took on MMA when he got involved in Elite XC, the pair stayed pals and remain so to this day.

“Take any of the greatest fighters of all time, Trump is number one,” White said of the President during an appearance on FOX News last year. “He is the most resilient human being that I have ever met in my life.

“Loyalty is really important to me. And he’s been a very good friend to me. And he’s a massive fight fan, you know. And it’s not just saying, oh, the UFC got popular, so Trump – but whatever.

“Trump was the guy who reached out to us when we couldn’t get venues and had us come to the Taj. We did our first two shows over there. And when you think about it, then the Trump brand here, the UFC brand here, he showed up for the first fight and stayed until the last fight for both events.

“He’s the guy who would reach out to me my entire career when good things happen and say, hey, congratulations. I always knew you were going to do it.”
