UFC star slammed by fans for reaction to video of Alex Pereira buying people groceries

Fight fans have rushed to Alex Pereira’s defense after he was called out by a UFC colleague.

The former UFC light heavyweight and middleweight champion, who lost his 205lb belt to Magomed Ankalaev last month, uploaded a new video to his YouTube channel on Tuesday.

It showed the pound-for-pound superstar working on a new community project before he paid for people’s groceries at a supermarket in São Paulo, Brazil.

A clip of Alex Pereira‘s acts of kindness was subsequently shared on social media, where it attracted the attention of a UFC fighter, who caused a stir with his shocking 10-word reaction to the wholesome footage.

Jared Gordon reacts to Alex Pereira’s acts of charity

15-fight UFC veteran Jared Gordon took issue with Pereira filming himself being charitable.

“How nice, do it while there isn’t a camera there,” he replied to the viral video.

Before long, the man famous for his controversial loss to Paddy Pimblett was dealing with angry ‘Poatan’ fans in his comment section.

“You’re too old to be hating,” one fan said. While another added: “Damn this is a lame way to think.”

“Bro only likes to see negative things on his TL,” a third person tweeted.

“No good deed goes unpunished,” someone else replied.

“Dumb tweet, delete,” another fan wrote.

“Which training partner of yours did he KO for you to be hating on him? Damn he is doing good, camera or no camera,” a sixth X user asked.

What’s next for Alex Pereira?

UFC boss Dana White suggested Pereira will rematch Anakalaev immediately after their recent five-round clash.

Since then, Pereira has confirmed Joe Rogan’s claim that he went into UFC 313 with a broken hand.

A pay-per-view in August was touted as the event that would see the light heavyweight duo fight again.

However, Ankalaev recently provided a bleak update on his potential rematch with Pereira.

“I have a feeling you don’t want the rematch after I agreed to August,” the Russian tweeted.

It’s currently unclear what’s next for Ankalaev, Pereira, and the 205lb UFC title.
