Conor McGregor stuck in the middle as punches fly during title fight face off

Conor McGregor nearly ate a punch from the women involved in the BKFC 72 co-main event.

In back-to-back nights of fights, BKFC 72 is set to follow Friday’s BKFC event in Dubai. Two title fights are on the line as Kai Stewart defends his featherweight championship against Tommy Strydom.

On the women’s side, Jessica Borga and Hannah Rankin collide for the inaugural featherweight title in the co-headliner.

A part-owner in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, UFC superstar Conor McGregor hopes to fight with no gloves as a ‘player-manager’ someday.

As for now (and still under UFC contract), McGregor plays the part of a promoter, holding the BKFC belt high as the fighters faced off at the ceremonial weigh-ins.

Things got ugly when it came to the co-main event.

McGregor stood right behind Borga and Rankin as Borga leaned in with her opponent’s fist gently touching her chin. Borga moved her chin out of the way and quickly fired a punch.

The two fighters were separated immediately with Conor McGregor looking at the both of them in confusion before raising up the BKFC belt.

BKFC President David Feldman shook his head no to Borga for throwing a punch at the weigh-ins.

One-half of the BKFC 72 co-main event, Jessica Borga is a former Bellator fighter with two wins in the BKFC.

Fighting for the inaugural featherweight title tomorrow night, Borga just couldn’t wait to punch Hannah Rankin in the face.

“I just want to hurt her,” Borga said after the face-off.

“I’m going to…

“You’re going to feel every bit of my power,” Borga warned her opponent, a fellow MMA fighter.
