‘Horrendous stoppage’… Fans slam referee after Drew Dober eats 17 unanswered shots in scary KO loss

Referee Mike Beltran is facing heavy criticism for his performance during the UFC Mexico City co-main event.

After Édgar Cháirez cried uncontrollably for a heartbreaking reason following his first-round submission over CJ Vergara, Drew Dober squared off against Manuel Torres in a makeshift co-headliner at the Arena CDMX.

The lightweight duo had their clash bumped up the card after Joe Pyfer withdrew from his fight with Kevlin Gastelum just hours before UFC Mexico City got underway.

Torres brutally knocked out Dober to end their co-main event scrap after just 105 seconds.

Torries followed up his two-punch combination with 15 massive hammerfists that knocked Dober out.

The American fan favorite appeared to be asleep well before Beltran finally waved things off.
