Sean O’Malley pokes fun at ‘morning routine’ trend in hilarious new video

Despite his social media blackout, Sean O’Malley couldn’t help but hop back online to take part in a trend that is taking over the internet.

Last September at UFC 306, Sean O’Malley disappointingly lost his bantamweight title when he was dominated for five rounds by Merab Dvalishvili.

Following his devastating loss, O’Malley announced that he went into the fight with a torn labrum and has since received surgery to rectify the injury.

Not only that, but since then, O’Malley has also quit social media, which was a big driving factor in him becoming one of the biggest stars in the sport.

Sean O’Malley hops on social media trend with hilarious video

Despite his social media blackout, ‘Suga’ hopped back online this week to hop on the latest social media trend that has been taking over the internet.

Online fitness coach, Ashton Hall, posted a video on his social media recently of his ‘morning routine’ which has been relentlessly ridiculed and mocked by users despite accumulating almost one billion views.

Several internet personalities have hopped on the trend, mocking Hall’s routine, with O’Malley being the latest to do so.

In a video posted on his Instagram, the 30-year-old pretends to wake up at 3:53AM to begin his routine. O’Malley then hops into the ice bath, which he is, in fact, a big advocate of. Whilst in the ice bath, O’Malley dunks his face into a bowl of ice water, something that is a reoccurring feature in Hall’s original routine.

Sean O’Malley set for a title rematch against Dvalishvili

Fortunately for O’Malley, he is seemingly next in line for the next 135lb title shot against Merab Dvalishvili.

The two even linked up recently at the UFC Performance Institute, discussing their potential title rematch whilst sitting in a jacuzzi together.

Dvalishvili went viral online himself recently, after almost falling off the edge of a cliff whilst showing off some traditional Georgian dancing in Monaco.

With both fighters clearly open to a rematch, it is unclear when the promotion may be targeting the huge title fight.
