Following his second loss in a row at UFC London on Saturday, Leon Edwards has been told to retire from the sport by his former rival, Colby Covington.
On Saturday night at UFC London, Leon Edwards was handed his first career stoppage loss when Sean Brady submitted him in the fourth round of their main event.
Days removed from their clash in the UK capital, Sean Brady has continued to slam Edwards, going off on him and his team for their fight week behavior.
With Edwards’ UFC career now hanging in the balance following two very disappointing losses, ‘Rocky’ doesn’t have many options.

Colby Covington advises Leon Edwards to retire following another disappointing loss
Although his last few performances have left a lot to be desired, during his time as welterweight champion, the Brit put on a few impressive performances.
One of which was against Colby Covington, when Edwards dominated him to defend his title at UFC 296 in December 2023.
Following Edwards’ loss to Brady, ‘Chaos’ Covington has advised that the 33-year-old retire from the sport.
“I don’t got time to pay attention to the jobbers in my division,” Covington claimed in an interview with Submission Radio.
“I thought that after I fought Leon, the motivation wasn’t there anymore, I can tell in the fight, I broke my foot immediately and he did nothing… I can tell after that fight he just wasn’t hungry anymore.
“He’s made too much money, I made him too much money at that press conference so I just don’t think he’s motivated anymore and he should hang them up,” Covington continued.
Despite Covington’s advice to Edwards, the UFC fanbase feels similarly towards him following his tragic loss to Joaquin Buckley last time out, with him having also lost two fights in a row.
Michael Bisping suggests a matchup for Leon Edwards
Although the former interim welterweight champion has suggested Edwards retire, British UFC Hall of Famer, Michael Bisping has a more sensible idea.
Edwards has somewhat of a feud with fellow contender, Ian Machado Garry, spanning back to when the Irishman trained at Edwards’ gym in Birmingham.
‘The Future’ was asked to leave the gym after a few months of training there, which resulted in tension between the two fighters.
Bisping believes now would be the perfect time for the two to settle their beef and finally give each other the striker vs striker matchups they’ve both been looking for.
