Paddy Pimblett mocked by top lightweight who promises to make him ‘cry’ again after UFC London

Paddy Pimblett’s emotional display at UFC London has attracted the attention of a lightweight rival.

‘The Baddy’ broke down in tears while watching his teammate retire after suffering a shock loss on Saturday night.

Molly McCann also cried as she revealed the reason for walking away from MMA during a backstage interview at UFC London.

Now a top 155lb contender has used the footage to mock Paddy Pimblett ahead of a potential fight.

Mateusz Gamrot poke fun at Paddy Pimblett

New fan footage shows Pimblett walking backstage with his head in his hands after McCann’s loss.

On Sunday, top-10 lightweight Mateusz Gamrot shared the video to his X – formerly known as Twitter – account, with a caption that poked fun at Pimblett and predicted a future fight between them.

Gamrot wrote: “P—- paddy will cry the same way after our fight. we know it!”

The Polish fighter hasn’t competed since suffering a split decision defeat to Dan Hooker at UFC 305 last August.

Gamrot is currently unmatched and looking for an opponent – but he almost certainly won’t be facing Pimblett, who is set to square off against Michael Chandler in a five-round UFC 314 co-main event on April 12, next.

Still, this could be the start of a new rivalry that ends with an eventual clash between Gamrot and Pimblett.

Paddy Pimblett reacts to ‘heartbreaking’ UFC London

After going viral at UFC London, Pimblett issued an emotional statement on Sunday.

“Heartbreaking night last night watching my big sister retire,” he wrote on Instagram.

“Been there with her from the start and will always be there this may be the end of her fighting career but it’s far from the end of mine and her friendship. That’s till death do us part.

“UKMMA women’s legend first English woman to get a win in the UFC and has one of the best knockouts in women’s UFC and combat sports history her legacy will live on forever.

“Emotional isn’t even the word for last night but even when I was crying the meatball will never fail to make me laugh when she said ‘haven’t done bad for a lesbo who was working in Subway have I’. Love u @meatballmolly and always will be me big sis.”
